The episode of Anupama takes the grand finale to another level as Anupama’s biggest secret finally comes close to being exposed. While she continues impressing the judges with her knowledge of food, her inability to taste creates a serious problem during the competition.
Anupama Impresses The Judges
Anupama begins by explaining the importance of bitter gourd and its place in everyday cooking. Instead of repeating commonly known facts, she moves on to jaggery and explains its role in different dishes.
She recalls learning a Marathi recipe from Sarita that uses jaggery and talks about its connection with digestion.
Ustaad Ji is impressed by Anupama’s knowledge. He points out that she has already discussed several Ayurvedic ingredients and then asks about the dish she has served inside an earthen pot.
Anupama reveals that the dish is kheer, a dessert that has become popular across different parts of India. She explains that although it is prepared in different regions with different variations and names, it remains a favourite for many people.
Her explanation leaves Prem surprised.
The judges appreciate the way Anupama connects food with Indian traditions and everyday life. Roy even calls her a “food encyclopaedia”, while Manpreet admits that Anupama has shown a side of herself she had not expected.

In fact, she had considered leaving the competition after losing her ability to taste. But Hasmuk, Digvijay and the other family members reminded her that she had spent years cooking dishes without always needing to taste them.
Their encouragement gave her the confidence to continue.

Anupama then responds to Prem’s criticism about the flavours being overpowering.
She explains that she remains confident about the proportions because she has prepared the dishes according to traditional ratios associated with their respective regions.
Manpreet is amazed by Anupama’s confidence and asks whether she is really certain enough about her cooking experience to prepare such dishes without tasting them.
Anupama calmly reminds her that she personally prepared every dish.
