Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Update 31th August 2026: Myra’s Sudden Spiritual Change Raises Questions
The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai brings an unexpected change in Myra’s behaviour. Her growing interest in Lord Krishna and spirituality catches Abhira’s attention, while Kabir also begins wondering whether he truly knows his parents as well as he should.
Myra Asks Kabir to Take Care of Krishna’s Idol
The episode starts with Myra meeting Kabir and handing him a few belongings connected with Lord Krishna. She explains that some items were left at home and asks him to take them inside.
Kabir invites Myra to come in, but she refuses. He points out that she is behaving just like Armaan, who also avoided entering his house. Myra does not want to argue and asks Kabir to simply take the items.
Before leaving, Myra becomes serious and tells Kabir to take proper care of Lord Krishna’s idol. She reminds him that Kaveri has worshipped and cared for the idol with great devotion for many years.
Kabir asks what offering is usually prepared for Krishna. Myra tells him that Abhira knows the recipe. Kabir jokingly teases her for talking so confidently about Krishna while not knowing the recipe herself.
Myra quickly turns the tables on him by asking whether Kabir knows his parents’ favourite colour or favourite food. Kabir is left speechless.
Kaveri Gets Emotional
Meanwhile, Krish tells Aryan that he will send Mukti’s flight details. Sanjay and Kajal encourage Krish to think about marriage, but he insists that he is comfortable living alone.
Elsewhere, Kaveri looks at photographs of Aryan, Rohit, Disha and Tanya. She becomes emotional while thinking about how her children are gradually leaving the house. With Mukti also preparing to leave, Kaveri fears that the Poddar home could soon become much quieter.
The family shares an emotional moment and hugs one another.
Abhira Wants to Participate in Rasleela
Abhira later suggests that the family participate in Rasbora’s Rasleela competition. Armaan initially objects because of the ongoing tension with the Damanis.
Abhira explains that she wants to participate for Kaveri and give her the opportunity to worship Lord Krishna. Understanding her feelings, Armaan agrees to put his personal differences aside.
Meanwhile, Kabir tells Nandani, Samar and Raghu that Myra’s parents are also participating. Raghu suspects that the Poddars may be planning something against them.
Kabir instead encourages his family to participate too. Although Raghav refuses to perform, Kabir continues trying to convince Nandani and Raghu.
Kabir Realizes He Doesn’t Know His Parents Well
Kabir later comes across an old photograph of Nandani and Raghav from their sangeet ceremony. The picture makes him think about Myra’s earlier comment.
He realizes that perhaps he really does not know enough about his own parents—their likes, memories and preferences.
Nandani notices the change in Kabir and becomes curious about what has suddenly influenced him.
Myra’s Spiritual Interest Concerns Abhira
Myra approaches Abhira and asks her to teach her more about Lord Krishna and the traditional offering prepared for him.
Around the same time, Armaan asks Abhira where Myra has gone. Abhira tells him about Myra’s sudden interest.
When Abhira suggests that Armaan encouraged Myra, Armaan is surprised and denies doing so. This makes Abhira even more curious.
Mukti also wonders whether Myra could have been influenced by a spiritual personality online.
Later, Abhira helps Myra prepare the offering in the kitchen. While they cook together, Abhira carefully observes Myra and notices how much her behaviour has changed.
She eventually discusses her concern with Armaan. Armaan feels that Myra may simply be growing up and developing new interests, although he remains emotional about Mukti leaving for Dubai.
Mukti Leaves for Dubai
Armaan and Abhira spend some time with Mukti before her departure. Mukti eventually reaches Dubai and jokes with Myra that she can now enjoy herself because Mukti will no longer be around to disturb her.
The family misses her, but Mukti reassures them that she will return after around 20 days.
Back home, preparations for the Rasleela competition continue. Myra asks Armaan and Abhira to practice their dance and requests that Abhira teach her the song.
Abhira once again wonders why Myra has suddenly become so interested in spirituality. Armaan, however, believes that there is nothing wrong with Myra developing a positive new interest.
The episode ends with the family preparing for the Rasleela competition while Abhira remains determined to understand the reason behind Myra’s sudden transformation.
